Teams of the Electricity Department and Uttar Pradesh Police took bulldozer action against illegal encroachment in Sambhal on Wednesday. The action comes as the electricity department started a campaign in the area after complaints of ₹13 crore-₹14 crore electricity theft happening in the district in a month. Meanwhile, the police said they also recovered some illegal weapons from some houses.
