Researchers at King's College London created a keratin‑based toothpaste, derived from human hair or wool, that forms an enamel‑like, mineral-rich coating when exposed to saliva. It not only halts early-stage tooth decay but also seals nerve channels to relieve sensitivity, researchers said. It could be available in toothpaste or gel form within two to three years, they added.
