Silver outpaced gold as the better investment option as its value surged 19.4% in September as compared to a 13% rise in gold's value. Silver prices jumped ₹24,500 to ₹1,50,500/kg while gold prices rose ₹14,330 to ₹1,20,000/10 grams on September 30. The price rises were driven by robust industrial demand, particularly in solar and technology sectors, and tightening global supply.
