Researchers in China developed a solar-powered system that can produce green hydrogen directly from moisture in the air without the need for external water or energy sources. This approach integrates atmospheric water harvesting (AWH) with proton exchange membrane electrolysis (PEMWE). Researchers stated that this innovation could enable green hydrogen production in regions facing water scarcity.
