RBI and the government undertook a secret mission involving special aircraft and detailed security arrangements to move 102 tonnes of gold from the UK, TOI reported. On Dhanteras, RBI revealed the gold was moved from the Bank of England's vaults in London to India between April and September. At the end of September, RBI held 854.73 metric tonnes of gold.
