At an event, US Vice President JD Vance expressed hope that his Indian-origin Hindu wife Usha Vance will convert to Christianity, adding, "If she doesn't, then God says everybody has free will." He also said, "When I met my wife...I would consider myself an agnostic or an atheist, that's what she would have considered herself as well."
