The US government shutdown, which has become the country's longest ever, is costing the economy $10-30 billion each week, according to reports. Bloomberg estimated the shutdown to cost $15 billion each week, a scale unseen in previous shutdowns. Congressional Budget Office said the shutdown could cause GDP to drop $7 billion after four weeks and $14 billion after eight weeks.
