The platypus, native to eastern Australia's rivers and creeks, is a unique mammal that lays eggs, produces milk without nipples, detects electrical signals underwater, delivers venom, and even glows under UV light. Scientists have found its venom contains at least 19 peptides, some found in no other animal, and they said there is still no antivenom for it.
