Government has listed benefits of new e-passport, which features embedded Radio Frequency Identification chip and antenna. It has data in printed form as well as digitally signed in the chip, which can be securely authenticated by immigration officials globally. It protects passport from forgery and frauds like fake passports, while confirming the genuineness at border control, government stated.
