Cricketer-turned-actor Salil Ankola, in an interview with Vickey Lalwani, said he ended up in ICCU 12 times due to alcohol. He added he almost died thrice. Salil revealed he started drinking after he stopped playing cricket in 1997, adding, "If I was up for 24 hours...then I'd be drinking for 24 hours. That was my way of escapism," he said.
