India issued a travel advisory for Iran, warning Indians to exercise vigilance while travelling to Iran for employment after several Indian tourists were lured and kidnapped by criminal gangs. "Government of Iran allows visa-free entry to Indians only for tourism...Agents promising visa-free entry to Iran for employment or other purposes may well be in connivance with criminal gangs," it read.
