World number one Jannik Sinner advanced to the third round of the men's singles event at the 2025 Australian Open after beating Australian tennis player Tristan Schoolkate despite losing the first set. Sinner took two hours and 46 minutes to win the second-round match 4-6, 6-4, 6-1, 6-3. Notably, 173rd-ranked Schoolkate ended Sinner's 29-set winning streak.
