Surya, owner of ambulance service, said that eight vehicles were deployed at TVK chief Vijay's rally in which 40 people died. He stated TVK workers mistook ambulances for security forces trying to disperse the crowd and attacked five vehicles. However, the police said no evidence of TVK workers attacking ambulances has been found.
