Shares of HDFC Bank surged to an all-time high of ₹1,837 on Tuesday. This comes after a large number of shares changed hands in a block deal involving 21.7 lakh shares and four other large transactions. The market capitalisation of HDFC Bank briefly crossed the ₹14-lakh crore mark following the rally, but later declined.
