The Union Cabinet has approved PAN 2.0 wherein the government will offer a free-of-cost upgrade to PAN cards with a QR code, Union Electronics Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced on Monday. The new system will be completely paperless and will focus on grievance redressal. Centre will also work to integrate PAN, TAN and TIN into a “common business identifier”, Vaishnaw added.
