An SIT probing alleged misappropriation of gold from Sabarimala temple arrested Unnikrishnan Potty, who sponsored the gold-plating of temple items. Acting on Kerala High Court's directions, SIT filed cases of theft, conspiracy and breach of trust against Potty and Travancore Devaswom Board ex-members. As per reports, Potty allegedly failed to return 474.9 grams of gold after replating idols.
