Canadian Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre conceded defeat to PM Mark Carney's Liberal Party in the elections held on Monday. However, the Liberals fell short of the 172 seats needed to form majority government. The Liberals are leading or elected in 164 electoral districts, known as seats, followed by the Conservatives in 147, with votes still being counted.
