BMC blacklisted M/s Bhumika Transport for three years after they were found adding debris to silt to increase its weight. The contractor's two-year contract, worth around ₹13 crore, was cancelled, registration was cancelled, and an FIR was filed. Assistant commissioner Shankar Bhosale stated a complaint with photographic and video evidence alerted them to contractor mixing debris into silt.
