Sri Lanka votes today in a snap parliamentary election called by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the country's first leftist leader. Dissanayake, 55, seeks a two-thirds majority to advance reforms and tackle corruption after the 2022 economic crisis. Polls opened at 7 am for 17.1 million voters and will close at 4 pm with results expected on Friday.
