PM Narendra Modi criticised Congress leader Sonia Gandhi's "could hardly speak, poor thing" remark about President Droupadi Murmu, saying, "The royal family of Congress has started insulting her." He added that despite President Murmu's mother tongue being Odia, not Hindi, she gave a "wonderful and inspiring" speech in the Parliament. He also called it an insult to tribals.
