Doctors have removed a knife that was stuck inside a man's heart for six days at PGIMS in Haryana's Rohtak following a surgery that lasted around three-four hours. The man was stabbed during a scuffle. The institute's director and senior cardiac surgeon SS Lohchab said that this was their first case wherein a sharp object had punctured the heart.
