Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Brett James passed away in a plane crash in North Carolina, at the age of 57, according to FOX 17. James was reportedly one of three people who died after small-engine plane crashed down west of Iotla Valley Elementary School at around 3pm on September 18. He had written over 300 songs for major labels throughout his career.
