The US has blacklisted Tencent Holdings and CATL for alleged links to the Chinese military weeks before President-elect Donald Trump takes office. CATL, a major supplier to Tesla, joined Tencent on a Federal Register of entities deemed to have ties with China's People's Liberation Army. Calling their inclusion a mistake, both firms claimed they have no connections with the military.
