The Supreme Court has rejected Solicitor General Tushar Mehta's request to let the chief secretaries of states/UTs appear virtually in the stray dogs case. "There is no respect for the court's orders...Let them come physically," said the court. It further criticised the officials for not submitting affidavits on measures taken under the Animal Birth Control Rules.
