Speaking about the potential implementation of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the state, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee called the exercise "fraud". She said it is an attempt to "delete genuine voters" and a "conspiracy to implement NRC". BJP's Suvendu Adhikari has written to Election Commission urging action against Mamata for allegedly intimidating officials.
