Astronomers have identified a mysterious, invisible mass hidden within distant galaxy system JVAS B1938+666, located over 10 billion light-years away. Identified by an odd pinch in one of the arc images, the dark spot indicated a compact object that was bending light. This seems to contain approximately one million times the mass of the Sun but doesn't release any light.
