A Russian neurotechnology firm Neiry launched 'bird-biodrones' known as PJN-1. These are ordinary pigeons surgically implanted with neural chips that allow technicians to direct their flight routes. The neurochip lets an operator control the bird by loading it with a flight task, similar to conventional drones. These pigeons could blend into crowds while secretly carrying spy cameras or sensors.
