Direct flights between India and China resumed after five years, marking a thaw in bilateral ties. An IndiGo Kolkata-Guangzhou flight will take off on Sunday 10 pm IST, while China Eastern's Shanghai-Delhi route begins on November 9. Flights were suspended in 2020 as both countries shut borders due to COVID-19, following which tensions also escalated due to Galwan Valley clash.
