Following inauguration of the final 76 km stretch, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis drove on the Samruddhi Mahamarg with Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. Fadnavis captioned the video of the ride as, "Maharashtra’s path to prosperity – paved and delivered!" The full 701 km stretch is now complete, reducing travel time between Nagpur and Mumbai from 17–18 hours to 8 hours.
