After eight people died in a fire at Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital, Dr Sushil Kumar Bhati, the Hospital Superintendent claimed that "no one died due to fire." He stated that patients died due to smoke while they were being shifted out of the ICU, where the fire broke out. Eleven patients were inside the ICU, he added.
