Supreme Court, while hearing a petition, criticised Centre over the treatment of retired Supreme Court and High Court judges appointed to tribunals. Many are forced to "beg even for the most basic facilities", the court said. If the government cannot assure dignified treatment, then perhaps all tribunals should be abolished and their work remanded to high courts, the court added.
