India's 24-year-old boxer Minakshi Hooda defeated Nazym Kyzaibay of Kazakhstan in final of the women's 48kg to bag gold at the World Boxing Championships in England's Liverpool. It is India's second gold medal at the World Boxing Championships 2025 after Jaismine Lamboria's victory in the 57-kg category. This world-level tournament is the first-ever edition organised by World Boxing.
