Silver skyrocketed ₹8,500 to hit ₹1.71 lakh/kg for the first time in Delhi, according to the All India Sarafa Association. The white metal had closed at ₹1.63 lakh per kilogram on Thursday. Silver prices have soared by ₹17,500 per kg in the past three consecutive sessions. Meanwhile, gold of 99.9% purity fell by ₹600 to ₹1,26,000 per 10 grams.
