Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi said PM Narendra Modi's Manipur visit today was more focused on his "image" than the ground reality. "Now two years late, his visit should primarily be about respecting the sentiments of the Northeast," Gogoi added. Manipur had been in the grip of ethnic violence between the Kuki and Meitei communities since May 2023.
