At least eight MPs of Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (SP) are likely to join Ajit Pawar-led NCP, according to reports. The reports stated that the MPs are in close contact with the Ajit Pawar faction. Notably, NCP, which is part of Mahayuti alliance, had secured victory in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly polls.
