A Mumbai pani-puri vendor reportedly accused local Shiv Sena leader Avinash Bagul of defrauding him of ₹3 lakh after allegedly "selling" a chunk of public footpath in Mulund in 2023. Santosh Bachchulal Gupta claims he never received the space and found that it belonged to the BMC. Bagul had allegedly rented the space to somebody else for ₹17,000 per month.
