The District Magistrate (DM) of Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddha Nagar withheld the salaries of three electoral registration officers (ERO) and 12 assistant electoral registration officers (AERO). They allegedly failed to visit the number of houses they were scheduled to cover each day under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the state's electoral rolls. The exercise commenced on Tuesday.
