When asked if she had to convince PM Narendra Modi of tax cuts announced in Budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman replied, "I think the question should be how much did it take for me to convince the ministry." She added PM Modi was clear that he wanted to do something. She said bureaucrats have to be sure of revenue generation.
