In a meeting held among top BCCI officials, it has been decided that T20 World Cup 2026 will be played in fewer cities compared to the ODI World Cup 2023. The BCCI has shortlisted Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai to host the matches. Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium has been shortlisted to host the final of the tournament.
