Iceland recorded its first sighting of mosquitoes this month, The Indian Express reported. An insect enthusiast in Kjós discovered two female and one male mosquito in his garden. Scientists believe rising temperatures have made the island more hospitable for the insects. Iceland is warming four times faster than the rest of the Northern Hemisphere, signalling climate change‑driven shifts.
