The population Census in India will begin on March 1, 2027, reports said on Wednesday. It will also include caste enumeration, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had announced in April. The Census was scheduled to be conducted in 2020 but had to be delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. The process will start in J&K, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand from October 1, 2026.
