Railways issued a clarification after reports of stampede at Bardhaman station in West Bengal. The Railways said a woman lost her balance and fell on the foot overbridge stairs, causing other passengers to fall too. Railways said that there was no stampede, adding that the crowd was normal and there were no casualties. Three injured passengers have been hospitalised.
