Patients at a hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia were treated at the emergency room in torchlight, a video of which went viral. The situation arose due to a power outage and a technical glitch in the hospital's generator, health department officials said on Sunday. The outage lasted 45 minutes, Chief Medical Superintendent of Ballia district hospital Dr SK Yadav said.
