Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya defended his contemporary Udit Narayan amid controversy over videos showing the latter kissing female fans at a concert, saying, "I'm sure that every time Udit performs, his wife accompanies him as a co-singer. Let him enjoy his success!" He also called Udit a "khiladi (player)". "The women were after him. [Udit] didn't pull anyone close," he added.
