US President Donald Trump’s administration is reportedly planning to fire at least 2,145 senior-ranking NASA employees who are equipped with specialised skills, a report stated. The report added that NASA has offered the affected staff early retirement, buyouts, and deferred resignations. Earlier, the US government had proposed a budget for 2026 stating 5,000 people will be reduced from NASA.
