US Labour Department shared a video accusing companies of "rampantly" abusing H-1B visa programme. "Young Americans have had American Dream stolen from them...as jobs have been replaced by foreign workers," department said. Video noted 72% of H-1B holders in 2023 were Indians. It added that US is holding companies accountable for their abuse and recapturing "American dream for American people".
