West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Monday announced an ex-gratia of ₹5 lakh each and a Special Homeguard's job to a family member of people who passed away in the North Bengal floods. CM Mamata stated that she is visiting North Bengal with her Chief Secretary and DG of Police "for two days to see rescue and restoration works there."
