If one hasn't slept well, then prioritising rest over exercise is usually the best choice, according to experts. One may feel tired, unfocused, and is more likely to injure themselves if they exercise after a poor night's sleep, says Dr Manjusha Agarwal. Skipping sleep to exercise also leads to an increase in the level of cholesterol, Dr Anil Ramakrishna said.
