Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik has dismissed rumours of privatising the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), assuring its 83,000 employees that it'll remain a public organisation. At the inauguration of a new water purifier and cooler at Mumbai’s Parel bus depot, Sarnaik stated, "MSRTC is an autonomous body. There’s no question of privatisation."
