A row erupted after a Class 8 girl was allegedly denied entry in St Rita's Public School in Palluruthy, Kerala for violating 'dress code'. She was made to remove hijab to enter the school. Parent-Teacher Association President Joshi Kaithavalappil said parents are backed by Social Democratic Party of India. The school has moved High Court for protection.
